My name is Anthony Orttel, and I teach life science, physical science, and Earth science. My licensure is 5-8 all science and 9-12 life science. I moved up to Bemidji in the Fall of 2013 from the north metro (Minneapolis area). I graduated from Bemidji State University in 2018. At BSU, I studied biology, geography, and mass communication. I was one of the founders of the Beaver Freeze Ice Fishing Tournament while employed with the Outdoor Program Center, and guided hiking, and camping trips. In my free time, I enjoy reading, fishing, and traveling. I've been to 14 countries so far and hope to visit many more! I look forward to my second year (2019-2020) teaching at Laporte Public School!
