Laporte Secondary is recognized in the US News National Rankings and earned a bronze medal. Schools are ranked based on their performance on state-required tests and how well they prepare students for college.
The mission of Laporte School is to challenge all of our students to acquire the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for lifelong learning, growth, and responsible citizenship.

Thanks to all who supported our Scholastic Book Fair. We were able to raise 1,836.00 in free new books for our library! Here is a sample of what we have gotten so far! We look forward to seeing you for our Spring Scholastic Book Fair in March.

Students shared their book reviews using our chromebooks and Screencastify to share their love of reading. They also were able to do a Google Hangout with their Pen Pal's in the cities and meet and talk to them live. If so, we have paperwork available online now as well as in the main office! School readiness is available 2 days a week from 8-3:15. There is a Monday/Wednesday group and a Tuesday/Thursday group for both 3 and 4 year olds. We hope to see you this fall!
Through our Literacy Grant we were able to order some cool software to help students create and retell stories in their own voice. The possibilities for creation are pretty awesome!
